Hextall set this franchise up nicely with a number of good young prospects, hope the majority of them turn into something good or they’re used to improve the club this summer.
Frost, Farabee and Ratcliffe are off limits though imo. |

Posted this in the other thread, but now that Tampa has disappointed majorly, and are cap strapped I'm wondering if we could pry Johnson and McDonagh from them. If I can't get Johnson (25-30 goal scorer with 3 selke nominations) then I'll take Miller. |

I agree. Frost and Farabee are off limits. I would open Ratcliffe for trade for top young talent though like a Marner or Point, though both are unlikely. |

you want to use isaac as trade bait for marner or point but not frost or farabee. Flyers fans are the best |

Both McDonagh and Johnson have NTC.
Miller would be interesting. He re signed but the new Kutcherov deal will be kicking in. Plus the need to re sign Point.
Lightning could use defenders since they have 3 UFA. |

I never said it was a 1 for 1 deal. I would imagine roster players would be going back the other way and the "prospect" would be a throw in with picks. I would rather the throw in be Ratcliffe then Frost or Farabee. Frost is a skilled playmaking center and those are more valuable then a LW. Farabee is also LW but has a bigger pedigree IMO then Ratcliffe. |

McDonagh is a modified NTC so he could be traded to 21 different teams. I would think he may want to play with AV again.
Johnson does have a full NTC, but players with NTCs have waived them before. |

I understand how it works.
But both re signed for a reason and as much as Tampa lost, they will still be a solid team next year.
Now Miller doesn't have any protection. |

I am a bit curious that with the championships starting Thurs that we haven't heard any rumblings around a Provorov re-signing. I thought he had to be signed to play for Russia. |

I'm not really impressed with Miller's career totals, but if you strike out on UFA then maybe, or if that's the cost of getting McDonagh then absolutely. |

Asking because I don't know but would Sam Reinhart interest anyone as a 2nd line center option? Had a solid year this year but i do now he has played some wing. Just feel like we could make one of those one for one swaps. Gostisbehere for Reinhart. Just not sure if Reinhart is really that good or maybe he is starting to come into his own now. |

That's a good point. Obviously they would need to agree. |

In any reasonable trade discussion, wouldn't the primary piece going to the other team be mentioned or would the throw in part be mentioned with the primary piece left up to the imagination? Anyone reading it would assume the name mentioned is the primary part of the trade in the proposal. |

I would prefer to use Ghost as a piece in a deal for a more skilled or more developed player then a 1 for 1 swap. I know they shouldn't base deals on this, but it feels like a 1 for 1 deal has a bigger chance to be a dud for a team. Think JVR for Schenn. |

any deal for those 2 top end actual nhl players will likely include one of the guys you dont want to give up. ratcliff has probably little value in a trade for those 2.
i wouldn't think twice about including either one for one of those 2. |

I didn't propose a trade, I just said that I would trade Ratcliffe only in a package for young high end talent such as Marner or Point, and wouldn't include Frost or Farabee ideally. |

I like to think Johansson for Jones, Weber for Subban, Domi for Galchenyuk. Both teams get something they want. Not every trade needs to have a winner and loser. |

Which 6 current flyers do you peeps consider part of the core to build around going forward? |

Yea referencing one winner for loser doesn't make it true. Ghost for Reinhart actually doesn't sound terrible but i think we are giving up on Ghost too early, he's a valuable player on a good contract. |

The Flyers have assets to move around and I think they should definitely explore this. The long forgotten German Rubtsov May not have much if any value but he’s an asset. The 11th pick is an asset. I agree Frost and Farabee are two examples of players you don’t move but I think the Flyers should consider all avenues to improve the roster right now. |

If you hold my feet over the fire and insist on Frost or Farabee and I'm getting one of those guys hypothetically, then yes I will likely cave, but I would try and get concessions from the roster players I'm sending to equal the loss out. |
